Unable to view SWF with FLV files via IIS

I have set up MC Media Player to play some FLV files that I am trying to host on a website...I have uploaded the SWF, XML & JS files up to the servers wwwroot folder successfully.  If I go to the website via UNC path \\servername\C$\inetpub\wwwroot\index.html, I can view the files fine.  When I go to http://servername/index.html the SWF loads, but I am unable to play any of the video clips.  I am guessing that it is an IIS issue & want to know what I am missing.

Can someone please help!

Hi,

It could be that you need to add the FLV MIME type to IIS. To do this open Internet Service Manager, right-click the site that you want to this to work for, click Properties and then select the HTTP Headers tab. Then click the MIME Types button and click New. Enter the extension ".flv" and the MIME Type "video/x-flv" (without the quotes).

Or if you want to add it for all sites on the server then right-click on the server in IIS rather than a website, choose Properties, click MIME Types and New.

You are the man!  I knew that's what it was, but I didn't know what to put!

Thanks a bunch!  (even though I ended up fixing it by putting it on an XP machine with a developer host program.

By the way, sorry if you're not a man...in which case you'll be the woman!
