Exchange 2007 - LCR + CCR?

Hey all.  I'm pondering a couple of HA+DR scenarios for Exch2007.  Has anybody tried enabling LCR on a mail store that's hosted on a CCR cluster?  I'm thinking using CCR for HA is good, but LCR to a remote site for DR is a good add-on.  I just can't find any documentation of anyone enabling *both*.

I'm OK with LCR coming only off of one of the CCR servers--if that CCR box goes down, the LCR gets fixed when the box comes back up.  But if I lose the whole datacenter site, I can just fire up the LCR copy and have near real-time DR.

Thoughts?  Possible?  Anybody try it and have it blow up?

Thx!

You can only enable 1 one of those features I believe..... what you want to achive will be accomplished by SCR with the release of SP1 real soon :)

SCR allows you to replicate a stand alone,CCR, LCR, or SCC to any type of server regaurdless of the location. The only catch will be SCR is AD site dependent due to the replay of messages.
The site can be remote but must be in the same AD site.

Please check my blog on SCR

There's actually an interesting little blurb in the SCR documentation on Technet that says that the replication service hasn't been modified or designed for doing SCR and LCR.  CCR is basically the same mechanism, so I'm pretty sure it holds for CCR+LCR.

Oh well, it was worth a try, thinking out-of-the-box.  Can't say I'm disappointed that MS beat me to the punch.  Thanks for the help!!

Should add the link for the SCR docs on Technet...  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676502.aspx

Yes for the source, no for the target: Source of SCR can have LCR turned on, but the target server cannot be both an SCR target and have another storage group with LCR configured.  Replication service does run in one of these three states when it is a replication target: i) passive node of a CCR ii)LCR or iii)SCR. These three states cannot co-exist as replication targets.
