Try Clickatell . www.clickatell.com This has versatile ways to send sms. through mail, through API and also in other ways. For Your information This is the first hit in google search.

Well they're still pretty expensive. I can't believe that such a miniscule amount of data costs c. 0.06 GBP to send. Surely there must be some price fixing going on?
