funny character after converting to pdf format

Lately, users face issue where after converting the word file to pdf format. All the line in the file in fact have changed to weird character. Please advice!

There should be some issues in your pdf printer. Please ensure that the fonts are properly installed and they are converted into pdf properly. Also please let us know what pdf driver you are using to generate pdf files.

Try downloading primopdf (This is free) and ensure that you are facing the same issue.
