When I try to edit my index page I recieve a prompt saying do you want to save this as template. If I click cancel it doesnt save OR I have to save the template.  There is no reason i need to resave my index file as a template.  THe page in created off of a template and no other files have change or been edited that I know of.  DO we know why this is happening? I can edit it using notepad but the main webmaster cannot edit html with ease.

Thanks

I am testing it now. I am replacing not deleting part of the code.

I think that will work. Testing it out with the end users shortly.
Changing from

<!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="doctitle" -->
<!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
<!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="head" -->

to

<!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="doctitle" -->
<!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
<!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="head" -->

Open in new window

Dreamweave will only ask to save as a template if you have one of the template features in that page such as an Editable Region. If you remove those template functions, it will save as a normal html page.
