Using vpn over adsl as fault tolerance for existing site link. Cisco 1841.

I have an interesting problem I hope someone can advise on.

Two sites (172.16.0.0,172.17.0.0)  Currently linked over IP by a third parties trunk link, using an ethernet port on each of the cisco 1841s. Using standard private routing, no nat/vpn etc.

The 1841's also have adsl wics supplying internet access to the two sites.

The trunk link occasionally goes down. I would like to configure a VPN connection between the adsl wics to take over automatically should any point on trunk link go down.

Is this possible?

You will want to configure a DMVPN You can read about it here
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6658/products_ios_protocol_option_home.html
This will allow sharring of the bandwith as well as failover for your link. It is very easy to set up with the Cisco SDM. about 2 minutes a side.

Cool I'll give it a try - is that included as standard on the k9 advanced security image?
