Missing FTP.DLL File

Hello,

I'm trying to build an FTP client program in C#, but the objects I need don't seem to be there.

FTPClient is the first one I'd use, but I can't instantiate one.  The documentation says it belongs to System.Object and that its .dll is ftp.dll.  I've looked all over my system for this file and can't find it.  Do I need to download this file?

You have to add the library to your project.  .NET has no built in easy to use FTP library that I know of.  Check out:

Where did you hear about the "ftpclient" library?
