I currently have Windows Messenger version 4.7.3001 with .(dot)net services.<br />
I'll look around for Windows Live. It seems Microsoft would have it imbedded in some way to make sure &nbsp;everyone has it, even the ones who don't want it &nbsp;That is usually the way they do things.<br />

where are these hotmail settings?<br />
1. I got a new pc with Windows XP and IE 7.0. I used to get an alert at the right hand bottom of my screen (the msn messenger icon) when a new message was received by my hotmail inbox. I have been unable to find the setting to enable this feature.<br />
2. And the feature that shows the number of unread e-mails in my hotmail inbox, which used to be located in ( &nbsp;) beside my user name when MSN Messenger was open.
