How do I make a "Remember me" button work so that the asp text box populates with the username on page load instead of just when they start typing?

usually this sort of thing is handled by the browser, eg it asks you if you want to remember the username and then autofills it next time you visit - this is nothing to do with the server.

if you wanted to do this you could perhaps stick the name in a cookie, so that next time the user visits you can grab the cookie from the request and fill in the textbox with that.
