I have a Windows 2000 Server on a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC. &nbsp;It runs my firm's Citrix remote access. &nbsp;Approximately 25 users.<br />

I have lost access to Safe Mode. &nbsp;<br />
<br />
I can successfully choose Safe Mode from F8 and can reach the login window. &nbsp;I can login as the box's local Administrator. &nbsp;However at that point I just get a black screen with just the mouse pointer showing. &nbsp;I've waited up to 15 minutes with no change. &nbsp;I can do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and get the Task Manager, but don't get anywhere beyond that. &nbsp;I can Restart from Task Manager and reboot to normal mode.<br />

I assume it's a problem with the display, but don't know how to fix it.<br />

I need to get into Safe Mode to run a spyware removal tool.<br />

Hi.

Getting black screen when I try to log into Safe Mode
