I have a Windows 2000 Server on a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC. It runs my firm's Citrix remote access. Approximately 25 users.
I have lost access to Safe Mode.
I can successfully choose Safe Mode from F8 and can reach the login window. I can login as the box's local Administrator. However at that point I just get a black screen with just the mouse pointer showing. I've waited up to 15 minutes with no change. I can do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and get the Task Manager, but don't get anywhere beyond that. I can Restart from Task Manager and reboot to normal mode.
I assume it's a problem with the display, but don't know how to fix it.
I need to get into Safe Mode to run a spyware removal tool.
