Hi there,

I have two apple macs both running mac os x. They are connected together through a router both using airport cards. The thing is when I go to network via 'go' on the top of the screen nothing happens. I mean nothing at all happens, a window should pop up showing all of the devices on the network. The thing is when I type in the IP Address of the other computer via go>server i can connect, share files etc. etc.

I was just wondering if anyone had experienced the same problem or if someone could point me in the right direction..

Many thanks..

If you enable AppleTalk File Sharing (AFP) in the sharing preference pane as well as Windows sharing then the Macs should see each other .. the Windows Sharing uses SAMBA whereas the Apple Sharing uses Bonjour which should broadcast the availability of the macs to each other.

You might also want to check that the Firewall on both Macs is set to allow Apple File Sharing.
