My requirement is,

o        An applet program (standalone) which when loads after being called by JSP will have to identify the list of files ended by some extension (for eg. *OPTEXP.CATPart ) and these files are always stored under some directory in the client system.

o        An applet program which when loads after being called by JSP will have to create 2 directories in the client system by name

1.   E:\dt\DO-REF-REVISION-FUNCTION

2.      E:\dt\DO-REF-REVISION-RANGE-SIDETRAFFIC-FUNCTION

Experts! please please give me an idea to implement it...

First to do this you will need to create a signed applet, an unsigned applet will not be allowed to access the locat file system.  Here is a tutorial you might want to look at:
