Sending Emails from an APC Environmental Manager

On our network we have an APC Environmental Manager which has the ability to send emails when exceptions occur on the device.

I've setup SMTP gateway on IIS on Windows XP. All the printers can send emails through this gateway without any problems.

On the APC unit I cannot get it to work. Someone else had this problem.

We do not have a mailserver onsite. It is all hosted externally. Has anyone else had similar issues? Is their a work around?

are you seeing some sort of error when you try to send, or simply no email result?

have you checked the smtp service logs?

I resolved the problem. I installed an SMTP gateway on one of the desktops.
