Inter-office messaging

I have a Win2003 Server (Stnd) and 30 wrkstns (WinXP Pro) ... we use AT&T for email into & out of the office ... we use Outlook at the desktops to view & create email ... Office Mgr wants an Instant Messaging capability within the office ... Can someone provide me with some guidance on what will work??
