Experts,
I have a Dell Dimension 4400 which appears to have died, I have followed all the Dell post, changing drives, memory and ide cables and it still will not boot beyond a flashing cursor (except on the odd occasion when it will start to load windows and freeze. I have decided it must be something on the mother board and would like to replace it (I am novice at this and would like to learn).
My question is what replacement motherboard & chip would fit in the Dimension case?

There are multiple replacement boards for this system... Check the dell website with your Service Tag which one is yours.
