What software are needed to back up client from server (1 server and two clients)?  What is needed to be installed in client PC?  Same or differenmt license for client station and server ? (What versions of Symantec System Recovery in client and server?)

Hi,

You need install the backup server on a machine which has the tape drive.
Install client agent on the remote servers. Recomended to use the same version of server and client.

You will need seperate license for server and client.

Do the client agent cames in the same system recovery server CD

Hi,

you can deploy the agents from the server.

i.e once you install the server version you can deploy the agent from the application

can I use a symantec desktop edition as license for client.  or can I install the server software in clients too

Hi,

You can deploy the agents/client software from the backup server. You need not install the agent/client seperately. This is built into the server component.
