Windows Update KB944786 failed on Vista error code 80070643

I tried all the workarounds given through help to no avail. Using Ultimate, this is my first time with a failed update.

Is it and update you really need to install? If not I wouldn't bother. However I found this http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/06/08/windows-update-kb905474-and-kb913446-installation-failed-with-error-code-0x80242006/ which may help.

Good suggestion. I really don't need to use the Windows Live Toolbar since I use Firefox.
