Error when trying to isntall a driver for a card printer

I am trying to install a driver/software for a card printer when i get this error message.

Installshield gives error "Unable to create InstallDriver instance.  Return code -2147221164"

i am logged in as domain admin and also tried to install as local admin and still get same issue.

I am at a total lose on how to fix this?

This error is because your version of ISScript is newer that the one supplied with the program you are trying to install. To fix it, find out what version of ISScript you are currently running (look under "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver"), then download it (if you don't have the .MSI already) from HERE.

http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108322

Extract the .MSI file to a directory, then open a cmd prompt, browse to the directory holding your .msi and type MSIEXEC -X ISScript$.MSI ($=version number) press enter. A message will pop up asking if you if you are sure you want to uninstall the program, press Yes/OK, and ISScript will uninstall.
Now you can either install the ISScript version you need, or even easier, just install the program you were originally trying to install, which should contain the ISScript it requires as part of the install.

found the issue. it was a old driver on the RIS image that had a old version of the ISScript. all i needed to do was go to C:\Drivers\12\old\Base\ and right click the ISScript and uninstall.

clicked setup.exe on my application and boom away it went ;)

thanks bmsjeff for you help
