Printer driver for HP PSC 1315 All-in-one

I have a HP PSC 1315 All-in-one printer/scanner/photocopier. When I bought a HP Officejet 5600 and executed the installation CD, it replaced the old HP programs with new versions (HP Solution Center, Document Viewer, Image Zone, etc), but it also uninstalled the printer drivers for the HP PSC 1315.

But I want to have both printers installed in my laptop computer, since I want to use one printer at home and another at work.

When I try to reinstall the HP PSC 1315 drivers with the installation CD, it tries to install all the support software again, but it detects a new version of the software and aborts.

I tried to download the drivers from HP support. The only thing I found was a 48MB file (drv_gc_w01_ENU.exe) that has the same problem as the installation CD, that is, it aborts when it detects a new version of the support software.

How can I install the drivers for printing/scanning with the HP PSC 1315 without removing the drivers for HP Officejet 5600?

Does either one allow you to choose the installation location?  If so, then install them in different locations so they aren't trying to overwrite one another.

Does the 1315 work with the 5600 software?  If you have the 5600 installed, you should be able to install the 1315 again through the Add Printer wizard.  And the scanning software from the 5600 should also work for the 1315.

After four contacts to HP support and hours spent installing/uninstalling software for both printers, I finally have the printer and scanner functionality working for both printers.

When I plugged the 1315 via USB, the drivers were not found and installed automatically due to a problem related with the regional settings of the computer. I switched the regional settings from Portuguese to English and after that the printer drivers were installed successfully.
