Beginning Visual Studio

When I open Visual Studio I get an error message
An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons).
Any ideas how to overcome this please?

there is a web.config file if this is an ASP.NET application and you have to change some security settting in it that has to do with "local" or "everyone"  There is also a Trace setting in that file which can be on or off and also a debug (on or off)

If you are trying to remotely debug a Windows Form application, then maybe this will help:

Here info about web.config:
http://www.sitepoint.com/article/web-config-file-demystified

So you are doing an ASP.NET app, correct?

I don't have DotNet in front of me at present with a website, but here is a link on Microsoft about creating it:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815179

I am pretty sure that from the Visual Studio IDE, you either get one included in the ASP.NET project or you right click and do add file and add a Configuration or Web.config file.
