Remote Desktop users getting disconnected when session is minimized for about 5 minutes or more
I have 8 XP Pro users using Remote Desktop connection into an online retirement data management system. The service provider has turned off all timeout settings. However, when my 4 users minimize their connection to work on other local applications, after 5 to 10 minutes, when they return to the online session, they have been disconnected. If they leave the application on the screen and leave for an hour or more, the session remains connected. I have checked with the ISP and they see nothing on their end to cause the issue. My firmware on the router is up to date, port 3389 is open on the firewall.
Would there be a setting on the XP Pro pc that might be causing this? I realize this issue is very simialar to another RDP issue.....but that solution wasn't clear to me ..
