Installation and Deployment in Visual Studio

I currently use Wise installer 5 for building installations in VS 2003.  In VS 2008, I notice that there is a "Setup and Deployment" project type and I was wondering if this could be a replacement for Wise. Are there any good articles on "Setup and Deployment" projects in VS 2008?

The "Setup and Deployment" project has been in VS since VS2003 and hasn't changed much since. It will provide most of the functionality provided by Wise.
My company now use this instead of Wise.
