Vista update error Code 80041002

Gateway laptop with Vista Home Premium. Un-installed anti-virus and spy-sweeper. Icon in tray constantly reminding me to download this update. After download it re-boots and wants to download it again. This is error message:

Can you down the patch directly for the KB article you linked in your question and install the patch manually?

Yea I tried but it still kept wanting to download again I think problem was in secruity center not being able to recognize something. Client was happy after complete system recovery back to factory settings. Yes I used the desructive one and wiped all. Reloaded his docs and he's happy.
Intalled all Vista updates with no problem.
