i am going to my boss house and his daughter has a mac computer and he wants me to make sure it has antivirus what antivirus works on a mac

At this point there is currently only one "in the wild" virus that afect Macs. It is a trojan that gets in by pretending to be a Quick Time video codex needed to play a movie(porn). That is it. There are no others. If he just tells her not to ever download a quicktime codex then there are no other problems with anywhere she goes or whatever she might do. This make an anitvirus program a near total waste of money. Someday, Mac's market share will increase to the point that malicious software writer's will begin to take notice but, so far,  that day is not yet here.

I agree with pheidius on this one, but if your boss is adamant, then I recommend ClamAV, it's free and would give your boss piece of mind...
