Using a remote control with your pc.

I would like to know if anyone has used a radio or UHF remote control to run a piece of software on a pc.  I would like to do this.  If so how and what remote and software.

You might want to look at the ATI Remote Wonder they have been doing this for I think about 10 years and it is not that complex this one if RF and had a reciever that is USB used to be serial that connects to the PC and they you can control it remotely.

You might also look at the Logitech Devices not all work with pc but there are some options
