Hi,

I have 3 Questions...
After creating a use if we just type in the email address in the email tab what happens
After creating a user and creating a external email id using exchange tasks what happens.
After creating a contact and adding the email id to contact what happens.

What are the differences between these 3.Will a mail send to anyone will they receive?

Nothing, user with no mailbox or mail address will recieve nothing.

-After creating a user and creating a external email id using exchange tasks what happens.

If you use Exchange tasks to create a mailbox for a user then you can send him e-mails, if you type his name in the outlook TO field it will not auto complete the 1st time but then it will, also u need to wait for sometime for the replicate.

-After creating a contact and adding the email id to contact what happens.

a contact with a mail address is like a user with a mail address, just the contact doesn't have any internal permissionss ...etc, so u use it only for mailling perposes with no internal access.

Thank you.

yes the 1st option is just if you need to create users but they don't need to send or recieve mails, for example Backup user account, it wont be in the GAL.

That's correct.
