I am also having this same problem, but when I read through the description for the &quot;cleanup utility&quot;, it recommends against using it if you have Office 2007 installed, which I have.

working on a laptop running win xp sp2. &nbsp;client appears to have started install of ms document viewer msi but didn't have the disc called for by the installer. &nbsp;<br />

so now on startup client's machine tries to install document viewer on startup and will not stop trying to install the software &nbsp;regardless of any cancel action I take. &nbsp;<br />
