How to Embed a Flash Movie in a MasterPage Content Placeholder

I currently have a website using a master page on all pages but the ones that display tutorial flash movies. I would like to put the movies inside the content placeholder. The initial problem I have when trying to translate from the html page to the content placeholder is the error "embed is not supported in transitional html." Here is my code:

<asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="server">
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"
width="688" height="583" id="Overview">
<param name="movie" value="Overview.swf"/>
<param name="quality" value="best"/>
<param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF"/>

<embed src="Overview.swf" quality="best" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" width="688" height="583"
name="Overview" align="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>
</object>

</asp:Content>

Is there a way to embed a flash movie inside a content placeholder? If so, please provide example code or suggestions as to how to do it.

(1)Create a MasterPage  in visualstudio ASP.Net project .
(2)Right click the masterpage file in the solution explorer (in Visual studio) and choose 'Add Content Page'
(3)In the file that is generated, inside the asp content tags just specify the flash object tags like this ...
<asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" Runat="Server">
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"
width="688" height="583" id="Object1">
<param name="movie" value="Overview.swf"/>
<param name="quality" value="best"/>
<param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF"/>

<embed src="Overview.swf" quality="best" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" width="688" height="583"
name="Overview" align="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>
</object>
</asp:Content>

codeclay,

If I read this correctly, it is exactly what I have done. The problem is that <embed> is not supported unless it is inside the <body> tag which does not appear in the content placeholder. Of course, I may be missing something.

codeclay,

I reloaded the project without change and it worked fine. I don't understand why the IDE persists errors in come cases and not in others. Anyway, I will award the points to you.
