Crystal Application LockAcquired in SQL

Good Afternoon

Experts:

When I run my Crystal exe, which uses the Viewer, with the SQL Profiler on I get numerous entries that indicate "Lock Acquired".  However, I never see any "Lock Released" entries.  My other exe's that hit the db for some querying had several "Acquired"  then "Released" records one right after another.

Does anyone have experience with this?  Unforunatey I have none.

Any insite is appreciated,

Haven't seen it but then we don't run the profiler.  Does the lock get released?

For the Crystal application listed in the Profiler, I never see the Lock Released.
Have you ever experienced initiating the a call to the Viewer and the screen kind of gets locked up but you can see the 1+ page number at the bottom and the toolbar across the top?

Yes, but generally the report just takes time to create.

I have just been informed that the Customer has a "stand alone" Crystal Viewer that runs from their desktop and is not an .exe that is shelled out to from inside another application.  Perhaps the "Shelling out" is causing some performance issues since it runs much quicker in the standalone viewer.

Thanks,
