cannot remote desktop using computer name
I cannot remote desktop to my computer at work using the computer name. I create a VPN connection to my work but get a 733 error. I can remote desktop using the IP address of my server, but get the error "cannot find computer..." when I try to remote desktop direclty into my computer at work (which does not have a static IP)

Well I just re-read your question and realized I misread your whole post.
First try this to resolve the vpn 733 issue. http://www.cryer.co.uk/brian/windows/trbl_w2k_tcpre733.htm
Second When you say "I can remote desktop using the IP address of my server, but get the error "cannot find computer..." when I try to remote desktop direclty into my computer at work (which does not have a static IP)". Does that mean you can connect via RDP using the public static IP of your server at work?
Once you have a working VPN connection my original post may work depending on your network infrastructure at work.
