In my Crystal Report, I have it set up like this
Section Details a
             FieldDirectorate
Section Details b
             FieldDivision
Section Details c
       TestTitle
Section Details d
      Description....

And in Section Details a and Section Details b, I format them to 'Supress if Duplicated'. My report right now looks like this

Directorate 1
Divsion 1.1
Test Title 1
Descripion 1

Divsion 2
Test Title 2
Desctiption 2

Directorate 2
Divsion 2.1
Test Title 1
Descripion 1

Divsion 2.2
Test Title 2
Desctiption 2

What I need is to insert a page break when the Directorate 2 start. but don't know how. Please help. Thanks

Right click on the Details a on the left hand side and select "Section Expert". Under section expert, check the box where it says "New page before" OR
Right click on the Details d on the left hand side and select "Section Expert". Under section expert, check the box where it says "New page after"

Hope this helps.

I just want new page before a new Directorate start, something like this.
Directorate 1
Divsion 1.1
Test Title 1
Descripion 1
..break...
Directorate 1
Divsion 2
Test Title 2
Desctiption 2
...break....
Directorate 2
Divsion 2.1
Test Title 1
Descripion 1
...break...
Directorate 2
Divsion 2.2
Test Title 2
Desctiption 2

If I do the way you suggest, my page looks like this

Directorate 1
Divsion 1.1
Test Title 1
Descripion 1

Divsion 2
Test Title 2
Desctiption 2
...break....
Directorate 2
Divsion 2.1
Test Title 1
Descripion 1

Divsion 2.2
Test Title 2
Desctiption 2

Under Supress if Duplicated, there is a label called Display String. Click on the formula button in front and type in "Dup".
Then go to section a, right click, click on section expert and click on the formula button in front of "New page before" and type in

FieldDirectorate <> "Dup"

Let me know how it goes.

What version of Crystal Report are you using?

Right Click on the FieldDirectorate field and select "Format Field". Then under the Common Tab, there whould be a check box with "Suppress if Duplicated" lablen in front. Right below there, it should say "Display String".

I am using Crystal Report that goes together with Visual Studio .NET. Maybe that's why I don't have the 'Display String'.
