recommendation for vista backup app

I am looking for the good backup application for Vista (Ultimate).
I have a new Maxtor 750GB drive, I don't paticularly like the backup app which shipped with the drive.

I welcome all recommendations especially from people who have tried several and have to come to "tested" conclusion.

Note: I am running Vista and am not interested in what works well in XP as it is not "apples to apples"

thanks in advance

True Image works perfectly on Vista. True Image is fully featured and very reliable program but unfortunately it is not free.
