SQL Mail 2005 - 8000 Character Body Limitation

We are trying to use SQL Mail to automatically generate emails.  The components is working, however, we are running into an issue concerning the body limit of 8000 characters.  Is there a way to increase this limit, or is there a workaround that might be helpful?

are you using SQL Mail (ie xp_sendmail)? then, you are limited to 8000:

if you want more than that, you have to use some other (third-party) tools to send the mail via SMTP...
