  now, "points for" questions are not allowed on EE, and with 2x500 points you violate the rule of 500 points max per question.
  if you want, the original question could be reopened, so you split the points there.

Sorry, I did not mean to break the rules, I was attempting to be fair to Paul. If it is possible to re-open the question then I will correct the error in a legal fashion.
