I have a service that runs for an application we purchased. Apparently it needs to be able to create a custom event log. The service kept failing uintil I made the user that starts the service a member of the Admin group. Can anyone tell me what specifics rights this user needs and/or what group I can put it in so it can write to a custom event log. I would prefer not to have it be a member of the Admin group. This is on a W2003 Server SP2.
