I get this message whenever I open a Word document:

This document cannot be registered. It will not be posible to create links from other documents to this document

How can I fix this/

Based on an old MS KBase article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/198374#appliesto

You can try to re-register Word to fix:

Click Start | Run (bottom- left corner of your screen).
In the Open box, type:
"c:\program files\microsoft office\office12\winword.exe" /r
and press Enter. Note that there is a space before the forward slash

The /r re-registers Word in the Windows registry. This switch starts Word, runs Office Setup, updates the Windows registry, and then closes.
