Need to know how to limit the number of characters a user can enter in a MulitLine textbox and display a countdown.  I assume I will need to use Javascript but have no experience with it.  Basically I would like to:

1 - Limit the text entry in a multiline textbox to 1500 characters and
2 - Provide a countdown below the textbox so that the user will know when it is time to get to the point and finish typing.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Put max num of points because I need a solution pretty quick.

Hey guys, thanks for the quick responses.  Jaime, I've tried the MaxLength property but apparently it does not work with MultiLine TextBoxes.
RedKelvin, that seems to be what I am looking for.  I am going to try it out and I'll let you know how it goes.
