Error when re-installing Apache in Windows Vsita
I recently uninstalled AMP (Apache, MySQL and PHP) on my computer (a Windows Vista computer) for security reasons. I currently have this problem when trying to reinstall Apache in my computer.
During the installation it installs the service and then this error pops-up:
<OS 10013> An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.
make_sock: could not bind to address 127.0.0.7:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down.
To my knowledge I do not have any programs running on port 80 (checked using the NETSTAT command). I have changed the following line in my Apache httpd.conf, but it still does not resolve the problem:
Listen 80
to
Listen 127.0.0.1:80
I think that the problem is not because of port 80 being opened or used by another application.
If you need any clarifications/more info, please drop a comment, I will give you more info regarding this problem.
Thanks
Syed
