Runtime error 216 at 51F265C2

My Dell Lattitude D620 with Windows XP is displaying the following message:

Runtime error 216 at 51F265C2.

When I click 'OK', the following message is displayed:

SDTrayApp.exe - Application Error
the instruction at "0x51f265c2" referenced memory at "0x01184e60.  The memory could not be "read".
Click OK to terminat the program.

When I click 'OK', the initial message is displayed again, and round and round we go.

How do I fix this?

Thanks!

According to a google search, SDTrayApp.exe is a part of the Pc Tools program Spyware Doctor.  It appears that there is a problem with the installation of the program.  It may need to be reinstalled.  If you cannot get into Windows in normal mode to try and uninstall it first, then try punching the F8 function key at bootup of your computer until you receive the Advanced Options menu, where you can choose Safe mode startup.

Boot into "safe mode" (Press F8 before the Windows Splash screen displays - Chose "Safe Mode") Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel (Click Start | Settings | Control Panel) and remove SpyWare Doctor.  Then Reboot.

Will my laptop be prone to spyware without SpyWare Doctor?  Or is it okay to proceed without it?

We’d all like to think our company’s data is well protected, but when you ask IT professionals they admit the data probably is not as safe as it could be.

Spyware Doctor is not the best tool, in any case.
Something like the paid version (with realtime protection) of SuperAntiSpyware is much more effective.
