Disable GridView from automatically firing on page load

I have a search page in my web application with a few text boxes, a search button, and a GridView to display results. The DataSource is correctly set up to reference the text in the search boxes when finding the data.

However, when I load the page, GridView automatically displays every record in my database (default entry for the fields in the DataSource is %). If I enter something in the text box and click search, GridView THEN shows the correct results. How can I get GridView to not show all the records on page load and wait for me to enter something into the boxes and click search?
