Microsoft, Windows 2003 Standard Server, RPC Service keeps restarting itself

I have a Win2K3 server running SP2 that is a terminal server.  There are enough licenses for all users on it.  It is running a application called Ecklictic by Myriad.  The users terminal into it to run the app and then log back off.  Multiple times during the day the RPC service will simply restart itself.  If users try to log on during this time they get the error "The system can't log you on due to the following error: The RPC server is unavailable.  Please try again or consult your system administrator."  This is happening mostly to users who are outside our network trying to come in through our first server then to the terminal server.  (We come in to the First server for support reasons)  It is getting to the point where our outside people cannot get in most of the time.  I have looked at the event logs, there is nothing there that looks out of place to me other than the message that these users cannot connect.  Any advice?

1) DO you have all the MS updates and fixes ?

2) Have you checked that there are sufficient resources on all related servers to handle the load ( Task manager - performance,  or Perf Monitor ).

I hope this helps !
Have you run DCDIAG, and the other tools in the resource kit ?

Are there any specific updates, I have all the critical ones and the security ones done.  This only seems to be happening when coming from FS1 to FS2.  When we are inside the building going directly to FS2 it seems to work fine.  Should I be looking on FS1 for something?

Also, what should I be looking for with DCDIAG?
Run it in verbose mode and look for any errors.

I will post results as soon as I can get to the server and run it.
