Exchange 2007 ActiveSync disallow sync of contacts to exchange
hello,
I`m setting up a exchange 2007 sp1 enviroment with activesync of wm 6.0 clients.
No i`m looking for the following:
I want wm 6.0 clients to sync with exchange through gprs/hspda/umts but i want to disallow them to update their contacts from their device to their exchange 2007 mailbox. Agenda etc can all be synced both ways.
So i don`t want any contact they change and/or add on the device appearing in their exchange mailbox. (this is a must)
It is not a must to get the users contacts out of exchange to the device, but it would be very handy if this could be done...
Does anybody have any experience with this?
It is not an option to wait for "Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008"
regards,
Hans de Jongh

I don't even know that it is an option with MSCMDM when it is eventually released.
Windows Mobile has very poor control over what you can control on the devices. If that is a concern for you then you will have to look at third party applications, which may well mean a change of device - Blackberry most likely.
