Win2k Permissions

Trying to logon to W2k server from W98se boxes. The 98 boxes are set up as "windows logon" (with no password) so that no network logon will need to be entered upon restart.  However, when trying to access the server from the 98 boxes, a password box comes up saying:

You must supply a password to make this connection:
Resource:  \\Server\IPC$
Password:

I don't know what the password could be, since one was never set up.  Must be a permissions setting in W2k.

Well I want to do whatever I need to do so that the 98 boxes don't have to be logged on at all.  Meaning, that currently we do not have to enter a network name or password (is using "windows logon") on the 98.  So if I create an account on the 2k, what do I call it... or what is it...  Annonymous? Guest?

Well, no username is used to login to 98.  The login box does not come up (which is how we want it).

As for a guest W2k account, the sharing is current setup to "everyone"... does that include guest?  I tried adding a separate guest account, but the guest option has a red X, not allowing me to do so.

Ah, found a temp way to login... just use the login of another account for now, and it remembers it even if the login box does not come up again.
