Can't print from Adobe Acrobat

I was using Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 earlier to print a few documents, and everything was working fine.  At some point, it just wouldn't print anymore.  Specifically this is what happens: I press the print button and then select the desired printer.  Two small windows then appear.  The first one is entitled "Progress" and shows 0% (this doesn't go up at all).  The second one asks me to type the output file, and I see the blinking cursor in a textbox where I enter the name.  I've never gotten this before - it would just print without asking me for an output file name.
