The following code adds a listener to a datagrid. When clicked its suppose to bring up a new window. This works when the getURL method is set to POST, but not GET (customer is request GET method be used).  When its set to GET method, clicking does nothing. Why does it not work with GET? I've tried the cellPress event and the click event, same results.
var dgLsr:Object = new Object();
dgLsr.change = function(evnt:Object) {
	if(links.dg.selectedItem['url'] != undefined) {
		getURL(links.dg.selectedItem['url'], "_blank", "GET"); // works with POST
	}
}
links.dg.addEventListener("change", dgLsr);

Open in new window

have you tested it by putting in your url in the browser and appending your variables with teh query

ie. http://www.yourserver/blah/blah.jsp?firstname=bob

how much data are you sending.

Sending very little data:

view.php?filetable=gallery_files&id=40&thumbs=false

Pasting this in browser works. The issue lies with the datagrid change event not opening a new window when using GET.

so does: links.dg.selectedItem['url']

return something like: view.php?filetable=gallery_files&id=40&thumbs=false
