Can I Enable LAN Connection With Command Prompt?

This is kind of funny but it has stressed me out for days now.   I have a XPS Desktop machine that i always remotely connect to.  Well couple days ago i disabled the lan connection which now leads me to not being able to remotely connect to the computer.  Well like any of you all, the first thing you think is to just grab a monitor and keyboard and mouse and just connect locally to the machine.  Well it turns on and everything but i l can not see nothing but my desktop background and thats it.  The screen is literally super wide for some reason.  So it is displaying everything but i can see nothing have tried 5 different monitors and they all do the same thing.  I pretty much just need to get this lan line enabled so i can remote back into the machine.  Any suggestions or ideas at all?  I am connecting using a DVI-D connection with a Huge Dell monitor.

Boot into safe mode...that should give you the large vga-only display so you can see where you're driving...

is there a shortcut key to hit to get to safe mode....only other way i have been able to do this is keep hard booting the machine until i get that screen.

WOW! I FEEL SO DAMN DUMB RIGHT NOW....safe mode did the trick for whatever reason...Why would safe mode enable the screen to act right and not normal mode?  Something to do with all drivers not being loaded or started?

It should use the vanilla VGA driver in safe mode...
Glad you got it sorted. :^)
