Hi  fixatiOn,
Harmless would be good. But why is it now announcing thats it's using port 80. and how can  we stop it?
Hi War1!
I'm sorry I misspoke about the programs. Yes this computer is running  XP Home with IE7 and OE6.This is my neighbors computer and she has been running IE7 since it was 1st put out as an update. she has added no programs and has not had any other problems prior to  this  new condition. How can we stop it from showing ths new tag or whatever it is.
                     Thank you,
                            farmerjon,
There could be an addin that user is using that adds the :80 or a program running in the background.

Disable all IE addons and test. Go to Tools > Manager addons, and disable all addons.

If no joy, check if a program running in the background is interfering. Start with the programs shown in the system tray. Disable one at a time and test.
I disabled the IE addons and still have the :80.
I disabled  the programs in the system tray and it was still there. uninstalled antivirus (maybe updates caused the change)and installed a different one, still there.why would it show this in the address and I've not heard of others with this added, have you seen it before.
