Remove Exchange Server 2007 from old server

Originally I installed Exchange Server 2007 on my DC which was a mistake. Since then I have migrated everything to a new server (not a DC) including all mailboxes and Public Folders. I now want to uninstall Exchange Server 2007 from the original server, which is also a GC, but I don't want it to interfere with Exchange. If I uninstall Exchange from the old server, will it have any impact on the Exchange Server on the new server? Thanks.

Looks like everything went well. Outlook anywhere is working as well as my internal users. I forgot to remove the old server from the Source Server tab under my send connector so I got an error about that. Once I removed it everything uninstalled correctly. You never know what to expect with Microsoft.

awesome.  i'm glad it worked for you.  i just had to bill a client for 20 extra hours due to what i though was an MS problem with replication.  turns out their last management company so screwed up the router access lists that communication was impossible.  i've been in and out of adis edit for the past 3 days so many times it's a miracle the entire directory didn't crash.
