How to bind Mac Address to use the same IP Address Automatically using Windows 2003 DHCP Server AD Integrated
Hi,
We are trying to accomplish the following below:
All of our DCs are Windows 2003 Native Active Directory Integrated Servers.
We have approximately 200 clients.
We would like to set it up where each computer using their Mac Address on the NIC is assigned the same IP automatically everytime they log on.
We do "NOT" want to visit each computer and assign a static IP address. We want each computer to Obtain an IP address automatically.
We like to know if there is a way to make sure that only Domain members are assigned the same IP address from our Windows 2003 DHCP server.
We would like to set it up where we can exclude a range in the scope for non-domain members like consultants, volunteers, and vistors that are coming to our office on a daily basis. They will be allowed to get any IPs within the scope assigned for non-domain members.
Solutions and recommendations very appreciated!!!

2PiFL is correct with the reservations the only reason I suggested my method is because it would not require you having to get the MAC from each users workstation and create a load of reservations. Either method will provide you with the result you are looking for (a workstation always having the same IP address).
