How can I tell if someone is monitoring my computer session?

How can I tell if someone is monitoring or watching my computer session?  Is there a tool to detect intrusion?

If it's done by hardware you will find some sort of cable attached to youre video out devices(dvi, vga, qoaxial)
If it's a software based monitoring then it can be trickier to find out.
You can always look into what sessions that are running on youre computer on the process tab in activity handler. If you find some process there that you dont recognise just google it and see what it does.

Hi,

Install Zone Alarm Personal Firewall and it will initmate you if someone tries to connect to your machine or try to monitor your computer session.
You can always run Hitman Pro, it's a program that downloads a couple of other ad-aware spyware and trojan killers and run all scans at once

Just as a side note if you are on a LAN..an arp poisoning MITM attack can pratically allow the man in the middle to know your every network activity + replies ..gather IM chats + video + passwords even https and you might not even have a clue about it. You can check for a high number of ARP packets to check for that using for example Colasoft Capsa
